Viet Nam – The Global Academic Crossroads

A signature annual dialogue by Embassy Education and Viet Nam Tinh Hoa – The Futures Institute, bringing together leading voices in education to explore what learning must become for the future of Vietnam.
Building on the legacy of Seed & Spark Summit (2018) and Symphony of the Mind (2021), this next chapter marks a more focused and strategic conversation about the future of education.

What began as a platform for bold ideas and intellectual exchange now returns as an international dialogue shaped by a more urgent question:
What must education begin doing now to remain relevant, deeply human, and future-facing?

Set against the theme Viet Nam – The Global Academic Crossroads, the dialogue brings together global educational thought, Vietnamese identity, and emerging possibilities for learning – not as separate conversations, but as one shared agenda for the next generation.

This is a space for educators, school leaders, parents, policymakers, and changemakers to engage with ideas that matter, and to help shape what education in Vietnam can become.

About the Dialogue

Viet Nam – Global Academic Crossroads is an initiative by Embassy Education and Viet Nam Tinh Hoa – The Futures Institute, opening new conversations about the future of education in Viet Nam.

The dialogue explores how education can nurture not only academic capability, but also global competence, cultural grounding, creative thinking, and a strong connection to community.

At a time when education systems around the world are undergoing significant change, the dialogue also raises a larger question: how can Viet Nam not only participate in global education, but also help shape new educational thinking?

ReGenerating Education

ReGenerating Education is an educational design studio working at the intersection of learning science, design thinking, and systems transformation. Regen Ed is building a global coalition of the world's most serious learning scientists and designers — including Harvard University Project Zero as a formal partner, and team members from Stanford University's d.school and MIT Media Lab's Lifelong Kindergarten studio. Our north star is to co-design learning experiences that develop the full humanity of young people.

A research centre at Harvard Graduate School of Education, known for its work on thinking, deep understanding, and making learning visible.

An interdisciplinary lab at MIT, known for bringing together technology, design, science, and creativity to explore new ideas for the future.

The Hasso Plattner Institute of Design at Stanford, known for advancing design thinking and human centred approaches to creativity, problem solving, and innovation.
