WE IN ME 2025 YOUNG CREATIVITY COMPETITION: ‘OPEN SESAME!’

Continuing the success of WE IN ME 2023, organised by the Vietnam Contemporary Visual Arts Academy (VCVAA) – part of the EMBASSY EDUCATION ecosystem – Viet Nam Tinh Hoa Supported by NLCS International is excited to bring back the WE IN ME 2025 Young Creativity Competition to celebrate the New Year 2025! Inspired by the magical phrase “Open Sesame!”, this year’s competition opens the door to children’s hearts through creative expression, which aims to nurture love, gratitude, and filial piety towards family and society.

𝘼 𝙅𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙣𝙚𝙮 𝙤𝙛 𝙂𝙧𝙤𝙬𝙩𝙝 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙂𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙩𝙪𝙙𝙚
A person’s life begins much like a budding seed. The famous lines from Ho Chi Minh’s poem “Children” published in the Vietnam Independence newspaper on September 21, 1941, beautifully state:

“Children are like buds on branches. Knowing how to eat, sleep, and study makes them good.” Over 80 years later, with rapid developments in culture, economy, and technology, today’s society demands new educational approaches from schools and families.

The first words we learn as babies often include “ạ” – a sign of politeness in Vietnamese culture – accompanied by the gesture of clasping hands and bowing to show respect and gratitude. These early lessons are deeply rooted in Vietnam’s moral values, emphasizing respect and appreciation towards family and society.

Equipping children with the skills to express love, especially filial piety and gratitude, provides them with a moral foundation to grow into kind, responsible, and happy individuals. Such virtues are not innate nor superficial but are cultivated through heartfelt education and meaningful connections.

Through artistic expression, the WE IN ME2025 Young Creativity Competition: ‘Open Sesame!’ inspires creativity and pure love in children. With the theme “Nurturing Filial Piety – Awakening Gratitude,” this competition aims to be a modern-day “magic phrase” that opens the doors to children’s hearts, offering them opportunities to express gratitude and love, creating a culture of happiness and connection among children, families, and the community.

❤️ To celebrate the New Year, Viet Nam Tinh Hoa Supported by NLCS International proudly launches the WE IN ME 2025 Young Creativity Competition: ‘Open Sesame!’ – a treasure trove of love, meaningful moments, and messages about filial piety and gratitude.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE:
📸 STEP 1: Parents or students capture memorable moments through photos/videos/audio recordings (or use existing ones) in any form of expression -writing letters, storytelling, performances, etc. – focused on the theme “Filial Piety and Gratitude” with loved ones.

📢 STEP 2: Upload your images or videos to your Facebook profile in public mode, add a heartfelt caption, and include the hashtags:
