National Curriculum for England and IB PYP
Our curriculum meets all the requirements of the National Curriculum for England, ensuring a strong academic foundation across key subjects. As a candidate school for the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP), we are committed to fostering inquiry-based, globally minded learning. In addition to this, we integrate Vietnamese language and cultural studies, helping students to develop a deep understanding of their roots and heritage while preparing them to thrive in an international context.
*Vietnam Tinh Hoa Supported by NLCS International is a Candidate School* for the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP). The school is pursuing authorization as an IB World School. These are schools that share a common philosophy — a commitment to challenging and high-quality programmes of international education that is part of a shared vision with Vietnam Tinh Hoa.
*Only schools authorized by the IB Organization can offer any of its four academic programmes: the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), the Diploma Programme, or the Career-related Programme (CP). Candidate status gives no guarantee that authorization will be granted. For further information about the IB and its programmes, visit www.ibo.org.
Inspirational Teaching
At Viet Nam Tinh Hoa, we recruit highly qualified teachers from Vietnam and around the world who inspire students to develop a lifelong love of learning. Our educators are selected for their passion for teaching and dedication to nurturing curiosity and discovery.
Our teachers encourage students to explore beyond the curriculum, fostering personal interests and academic excellence. The school is a vibrant and purposeful community where students and staff build warm, respectful relationships, and every individual matters. Our partnership with NLCS ensures all teachers receive additional training to deliver the highest standards of education.
Beyond the Classroom
A Viet Nam Tinh Hoa education is more than just lessons—it’s a dynamic range of activities and experiences that enable students to thrive. Our junior school offers a rich extracurricular program in music, drama, sports, and the creative arts. Learning extends beyond the classroom through field trips and outdoor activities, helping students broaden their perspectives and cultivate a global outlook.
With intellectual challenges, physical activities, and social opportunities, students can explore their strengths, develop their personalities, and discover their passions. Clubs are led by both staff and older students, with some activities run by external providers.
Dual Language Immersion
Viet Nam Tinh Hoa integrates a dual language immersion approach, with lessons taught in both Vietnamese and English. In Grades 1 to 3, each class has two teachers—one teaching in Vietnamese and the other in English. As students progress to Grades 4 and 5, more instruction takes place in English while maintaining support from Vietnamese-fluent teachers to ensure continued fluency and a strong connection to Vietnamese culture, language, and history.
Our curriculum blends the best elements of British, Vietnamese, and international education, designed to support a well-rounded academic experience. We emphasize cross-disciplinary learning, with modern facilities including high-quality science labs, digital design spaces, art rooms, and a range of sporting facilities such as football pitches, a gym, dance studios, and a martial arts studio.
